WE GO BEYOND PROVIDING HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS.

Will Pharma wants to get better at making people's lives better. Our ultimate goal is to improve people’s quality of life in order to move towards a brighter future. That is why we do what we do. We strive to be as agile as can be, always exploring who we can support and how. As a medium-sized company, we are close to our people, which allows us to really make a difference. We support various foundations, associations and humanitarian organisations by donating medication and money. By supporting gradual process, we want to contribute to improving patient well-being.

Will Pharma is striving for a sustainable future. As a century-old family-owned business, the future generations have always been at the heart of our business vision and concerns. Today, climate change threatens our children's peace of mind and represents a serious risk to public health. Therefore, Will Pharma is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and moving toward a greener, more sustainable approach over time. Specifically, we are therefore committed to:

  • Improve our energy efficiency and switch to 100% renewable energy in all our facilities by 2025. For now, our headquarters in Wavre are already powered by certified green energy. Moreover, we have installed 102 solar panels which will allow us to consume a part of renewable and sustainable energy at our own workplace.
  • Calculate our carbon footprint on an annual basis, including as far as possible our 3rd scope, and to report our progress in terms of CO2 emission reduction.
  • Ensure that our suppliers and carriers also take measures to reduce their carbon impacts.
  • Raising awareness of the climate emergency among our employees and partners and building a corporate culture that is aligned with our environmental engagement.
  • Take care of resources and avoid waste & chemicals as much as possible. This year, we’ve been progressing toward our goal of becoming a paperless office, prohibited the use of chemicals in our garden and cleaning products, installed a rainwater collector to reduce water usage and removed all the leaflets in our food supplement boxes.

At Will-Pharma we are driven by a profound commitment to creating positive change in the world. We firmly believe that businesses have a crucial role to play in addressing global climate change. One of the key frameworks guiding our efforts is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Health is at the heart of our business. We prioritize health and well-being by providing high-quality healthcare products and services. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life of our patients and customers through our actions. Our focus on sustainability in production may lead to safer, more environmentally friendly medications. We also propose an annual vaccination program for our employees and raise awareness about mental health and well-being.

We actively promote women's empowerment and equal participation in decision-making. We also prohibit gender-based violence and discrimination by implementing inclusive hiring policies, promoting identical opportunities and insuring that all colleagues receive the same pay for the same work

Will-Pharma invests in renewable energy sources. We are implementing energy efficiency measures in our facilities, transitioning to renewable energy sources for our operations, and investing in clean energy technologies, like installing solar panels. We also promote energy efficiency in our car fleet and our buildings (LED lighting, heating and sorting system, A+ energy building, etc).

We are committed to implement policies to reduce income and wealth inequalities and to ban discrimination based on race, gender or any other factor. In line with our values, we prioritize hiring candidates whom we believe are best suited for the role

We actively work to reduce waste, improve resource efficiency and minimize our environmental footprint from production to disposal. Our products are designed with sustainability in mind and we are currently exploring opportunities to develop more environmentally friendly packaging for our products.

We are dedicated to reducing our carbon emissions. By sticking to our slogan: "striving for a sustainable future", we regularly hire Master's degree students (studying Environmental and Sustainability subjects) to propose improvements by implementing new eco-friendly policies, raising awareness among our employees and decreasing a maximum amount of our carbon emissions from our supply chain to transportation.

By reducing our environmental impact, we contribute to the broader effort to protect ecosystems and biodiversity. By taking action on our own scale, we are in the process of installing beehives and leaving overgrown grass areas. We are also supporting projects to combat soil erosion and deforestation, as well as restore ecosystems and improve water quality.

 

 

MEDICATION DONATIONS

By donating medicine, we strive to contribute to patient care in medically disadvantaged areas n a small scale. Every year, we support a humanitarian trip to Myanmar with the aim of treating orphans and adults with skin conditions, to which end Will Pharma donates various dermatological medicines. Through this programme, we give people the medication they need, improving quality of life for all in the long term.

MONEY DONATIONS

Will Pharma supports various organisations and associations that are committed to improving healthcare. Every year, we donate part of our profits to companies in the Netherlands and Belgium, and our employees regularly participate in sponsor events to raise money for a good cause.
